Oh yeah, they tunnel a lot, too. When I moved here 10 yrs ago, I bought earth worm eggs and scattered them across my garden beds. I needed all the help I could get to improve my soil and thought it was high time I gave my local worms ( 1 or 2, but whose counting?) some hot dates. :o) It worked. Love your writing.
